About my life and what I'm looking forLife never turns out the way you
plan it to, but all the detours in my life have made me who I am - a
self-reliant, confident, loyal, giving person. I have a calm, laid-back
personality, but I do enjoy an adrenaline rush now and then. I really
enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, golf, playing softball, and
gardening. I love things that go fast - jet skis, go karts, motorcycles,
roller-coasters. Growing up I was very active in sports and was a 3-sport
athlete in high school in Italy and college too . I've slowed down a lot
since then. I still like to challenge myself but would rather participate
in activities that commune with nature like kayaking, mountain biking, and
rock climbing. 
I also love things that go slow - a nice glass of wine, a great book, the
sunrise and the sunset, a perfect kiss. I love autumn for the colors and
the smells; I love winter for the freshly fallen snow and the holiday
season; not a big fan of spring other than the fact that I know summer is
on the way! Being a teacher, summers are my time to catch up on my life.
It's my chance to tackle home improvement projects, see outdoor concerts
and festivals, go to Cubs games and enjoy the lakefront. I love to travel
and I want to fill my passport up with stamps. I like warm, sunny
destinations but I'm not one to waste all my free time laying on the beach
- I'll be out in the water snorkeling. I want to see Italy and drink wine
and eat gelato for breakfast, learn authentic recipes from Italian
grandmothers, and experience the culture and history. I want to reach out
and touch whales in the Sea of Cortez. I want to see a bullfight in Spain
(I'll be rooting for the bull). I want to see the great Pyramids of Egypt,
do a walkabout in Australia, have a pint in Dublin... My next trip is to
Kenya next summer! Anyone up for a road trip? I'm not at full speed all
the time, though. I do enjoy quiet evenings at home with a good movie and
a home cooked meal. I'm a romantic at heart, too. I love the smile I can't
contain when I'm thinking about you.

I'm looking for someone who is outgoing, thoughtful, athletic and
adventurous. I want to meet a woman who is passionate about something -
what excites you? I love to laugh. Are you sarcastic? Not a problem, I can
dish it out, too. You don't have to be a great dancer, just willing to get
out there and twirl me around. You must be kind to animals and like kids
Lol . I think that says a lot about a person, even if they don't have
either. If you come from a big family, even better. I love family
get-togethers. I want someone who is looking for their life-long friend
and soulmate.
